Patient Relations

Your hospital experience

Sinai Health is committed to ensuring patients and their family members have a clearly identified process to communicate feedback about their experience, care and any concerns about patient safety.

This feedback provides the hospital with the opportunity to understand patient experiences and identify opportunities to improve patient safety and the quality of care.

When to contact patient relations

We encourage you to discuss questions and any immediate patient care concerns with your patient care manager, attending physician or the manager of the area that is providing care and service to you.

You are invited to contact patient relations when you:

  • Feel your questions or concerns about patient care and patient safety incidents require further attention
  • Need help communicating with your health care team or have concerns about interactions with staff
  • Have questions or concerns about the care you are receiving
  • Would like to share a positive experience or a compliment for staff
  • Have ideas or suggestions that you would like to share
  • Need assistance resolving a concern
  • Would like to talk about your experience privately

What to expect from patient relations

In addition to responding to your concerns, patient relations provides a bridge between patients, family and staff.

We seek to:

  • Empower through education
  • Enable active engagement
  • Proactively address any issues, concerns or questions along the patient's care journey

Patient Relations at Sinai Health is also dedicated to ensuring accessibility for all. We are committed to accommodating the unique needs of patients and their families. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we strive to create an environment where everyone feels heard and supported. If you need any accommodations to communicate your feedback, please let us know. We are here to assist you.
